FAQs
Programme questions
Is this really zero upfront cost for the school?
The programme can be structured around a zero upfront school cost route. Edge builds the model around the school's numbers, device choice, eligibility and preferred access route.
Does the school collect parent payments?
No. Where the FRF route is used, parent donations are administered away from the school. They are voluntary charitable donations, not school fees or device payments.
What happens when a device is damaged?
Edge manages repair and replacement flow. A typical spare device pool helps pupils continue learning while issues are resolved.
Can schools reclaim VAT?
The programme can be structured to support VAT reclaim where applicable. Each school confirms its own VAT position before launch.
What cashback is available?
Eligible manufacturer promotions can provide around £75 to £150 per deployed device, subject to current vendor terms and availability.
Is teacher training included?
Yes. Edge can provide digital strategy support, teacher training, on-site days and remote classroom support, plus funded CPD routes for eligible staff.
Can this work for primary and secondary schools?
Yes. The programme model changes by age group, platform, device type, safeguarding approach, parent communication and teaching strategy.
